Jim Bisson Jr. President & Chief Executive Officer

Jim is responsible for all aspects of daily operations. He maintains an “Open Door” policy, ensuring he is always accessible to all customers and associates alike. Leading by example, he takes personal responsibility for the success of every job the company undertakes. Jim’s vision and focus are propelling the company beyond its roots in New England to emerge as one of America’s premier EPC’s. A true believer in corporate education and staff development, Jim has initiated a series of continuous improvement (Kaizen) programs within NAR. As chief steward of a rigorous, internal process designed to cross-train and continuously upgrade staff in safety and occupational skills, Jim actively promotes “better” throughout the organization. Authenticity, concentration, innovation, and extraordinary performance lie at the center of Jim’s vision, providing NAR clients with an unparalleled level of service and quality.

Steve BealsSenior Vice President

As Senior Vice President of Operations for NAR/PEC, Steve Beals is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the operations. Steve joined PEC in 2013, bringing with him more than 30 years of industry experience with 20 of those years in leadership roles in predominately fast-track projects. Prior to his current role, Steve held a role as Regional Vice President at one of the nation’s Top 50 commercial electrical contractors, where he oversaw administrative and operational aspects of multimillion-dollar projects involving: design-build, pre-construction services, estimating and project management. At the center of Steve’s focus is continued development of NAR/PEC’s trademarked Lean Construction processes and procedures that deliver efficient and effective methods of work production that drive down costs for our clients.

Josh Farkes Senior Vice President of Business Development

Josh Farkes is the Sr Vice President of Business Development at North American Renewables. Josh has been a NAR Associate since November of 2022 and joined the company after his prior roles at Borrego Energy where he served as a project developer in the Northeast / Mid-Atlantic, as a nationwide EPC Account Manager, and as the Vice President of EPC Sales. In these roles Josh experienced all aspects of the community shared solar markets first-hand and truly has learned what matters most to IPPs, financing parties, construction teams, and others when it comes to maximizing the value and constructability of each asset. Through his experience, Josh has learned the intricacies of the Development and EPC businesses and knows how to bring these two phases together in an efficient manner. At NAR, Josh leads the Sales and Preconstruction teams while working very closely on prime contracting with the Legal team. Josh is responsible for ensuring the NAR sales strategy is directly connected to the top opportunities in the US DG market and NAR’s core competencies as a leading EPC contractor. Josh and his team collaborate with both IPPs and other NAR departments to win high quality work, and then drive projects from the bid phase to NTP before handing the work off to the Construction and Operations teams. Josh is most passionate about ensuring the work completed by Business Development results in jobs that can be built on time, on budget and to the highest levels of safety and quality while satisfying our customers, the IPPs.

In his time away from the office, you can find Josh with his wife Carla, son Cole, and boxer “Rooster” chasing fish on the waters in New England or at the baseball and lacrosse fields in the Boston area.

Steve Pietrzykowski Senior Vice President of Operations

With a broad range of experience in the electrical industry, Steve provides well rounded approach to leading the Operations Division of North American Renewables. Steve has an bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and obtained his North American Board of Energy Practitioners Certified Solar PV Installation Professional in 2009. These accomplishments have yielded a baseline of knowledge from which his focus in solar PV industry have allowed him to provide an innovative approach to leadership from the onset of grid connected solar power generation.

Richard Van Fleet Sr. Vice President of Construction

Richard Van Fleet is the Vice President of Mechanical Operations at North American Renewables. Richard has been a NAR associate since April of 2024 and joined the company after his prior role at Terrasmart where he served as Director of Project Operations. As director, Richard was responsible for successfully executing all installation scopes for over 2.5 GW of solar, including self-perform scopes and overseeing subcontractors through to project completion. At NAR, Richard leads the field operations team and is responsible for overseeing all mechanical installations across the US. Driven by his passion to create a culture that employees can be proud of, one where health and safety is not a process, but a lifestyle that can be taken home all while encouraging growth, efficiency, and quality.

Richard’s love for problem solving, learning, and building pushed him to graduate from Florida Gulf Coast University with a degree in Civil Engineering.

Growing up in Florida, hunting and fishing became a way of life at an early age. Being an avid outdoorsman taught him the importance of patience, dedication, persistence, and hard work. Outside of work Richard and his family enjoy being on the water in their boat, whether fishing or just relaxing on the beach.
